Our Campaign’s Top Issues

I’m fighting for a safer, more affordable DC where residents can find good jobs, stay in their homes, and have real opportunity to thrive. That means investing in prevention and public safety, building more housing, creating local jobs, and standing up to anyone who threatens DC’s right to govern itself.

A Safer DC from Violence

Prevention. Accountability. Opportunity.

True safety starts long before a crime occurs. I will invest in provide, evidence based solutions to prevent violent crime before happens, keep guns off our streets, address the root causes of violence and hold offenders accountable (up and downstream) to ensure that every resident is protected, respected and empowered to thrive.

Housing For All Residents

Supply. Stability. Affordability.

Our distict can't thrive if residents are priced out and families don't have the opportunity to build a life. As council member, I will aim to build more housing at all income levels, protect renters, expand pathways to homeownership and empower long term residents to keep their homes for generations.

Jobs and Affordability

Local Jobs. New Pathways. Building Small Business.

As council member, I will fight for policies that support small businesses, grow workforce pipelines for DC residents and attract investment that create jobs. Economic growth should make DC more affordable, not push out those who built this great District.

Free DC From Federal Over Reach

Standing Firm. Building Power. Protecting Our Democracy.

As council member, I will use every tool from coalition building, public pressure and legislative action, to protect DC's right to govern ourselves, our budget, laws and future. Home rule isn't about politics, its about safety, schools, housing and respect.

Quality Education All Youth

The future of our District is in the hands of our youth and our community must do all we can to help them not just survive, but thrive in DC and beyond. I will prioritize increased funding for childcare, all schools, safe spaces and all our youth need to thrive from cradle to career.

A Healthier DC

Health begins before the hospital!

A healthier DC is built where people live, work, and play (not just in hospital rooms). My public health training at Yale and leadership at DC Parks & Recreation give me the tools to lead that shift. I will focus on prevention, equity, and creating more public health solutions so every ward has the opportunity to a healthier lifestyle.
